OneWorld Health: The Gift of Healthcare

Giving Tuesday comes around each year on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. It serves as an onramp to the holiday season and as a chance to give back to others. There are many non-profits doing wonderful work, including OneWorld Health, an organization that builds sustainable medical clinics in developing countries to provide quality, affordable healthcare to people in need.

Each medical center is nurtured and supported by OneWorld Health so it will be 100% operational and self-sufficient in 18-24 months and powered by local physicians. The vision and mission of OneWorld Health centers around empowering communities who benefit from permanent facilities which are both affordable and accessible.

Access: that’s also a core value at BioPlus, which accounts for why our specialty pharmacy felt drawn to support the mission of OneWorld Health. Each prescription referral received from a healthcare provider to BioPlus means one more life-saving antibiotic through our partnership with OneWorld Health. It is part of our global vision to heal the world 2gether, helping to ensure patients across town and around the world have access to life-saving and life-sustaining medications.
